Meet Andrea
I started K9 Manners, because I love dogs and wanted to stop them from ending up unwanted in shelters or euthanized due to lack of training.
I believe there is a need for owners to not only train but to understand their dogs.
While fostering dogs I realized that I needed to acquire the knowledge and experience to really communicate with my own dogs.
Through my extensive training, and continued dedication to update and improve my skills I can offer you sound proven training methods based specifically on your dog's temperament, threshold, nerves and drives.
It is my personal goal to help owners build solid relationships, based on love trust and respect with their dogs.
I believe that every dog has its own individual personality, and program lessons personalized to you and your dogs needs.
I developed In-home training as a convenient, affordable and flexible service for people's busy schedules. I wanted to offer my clients the flexibility that regular group classes don't. With the one-on-one attention they receive my clients can develop a strong loving and respectful bond with their dog.
I can easily target and work on specific problems, such as counter surfing, jumping, chewing, etc. In-home training allows my clients to take the extra time they require to practice with their dogs. "Group classes" do not allow this flexibility.
I feel it's important that my clients learn theory, such as how to establish leadership, how to live with their dogs, and understand how to communicate with their dogs. Dogs need balance in their lives, attention, exercise and boundaries so they can develop properly. A dog is a loyal companion that should be loved, trusted, and respectful to its owners!
